Logistics
Eligibility
The workshop is targeted to City and Regional Planning graduate students; however, with instructor approval, it is open to graduate students from other departments and undergraduate students.
Travel dates
The workshop starts the first Sunday after instruction ends in the fall semester and concludes two weeks later (i.e., Sunday, December 6-20, 2015). Students should make arrangements to leave the U.S. by Friday, December 4th in order to arrive on time in Solo, Indonesia. In some cases, this may require early communication with your instructors and requesting permission to take final exams early. Unfortunately, the workshop cannot accommodate students arriving or departing at different times.
Preparation
For students interested in the travel component of the workshop, between September and December you are required to participate in periodic Skype
meetings with our Indonesian collaborators and other pre-departure meetings. On average, students should plan to spend one hour each week in these meetings.
